On Thursday the 16th November 2016 we threw a little soiree at the boutique to 'officially' welcome British bridal icon Jenny Packham to the Frances Day Bridal family.

We were thrilled to be joined by Jenny (not actual Jenny Packham but just as lovely and amazing) from JP HQ in London. She kindly imparted all of her knowledge on the facts & details that most find 'boring' but is our favourite part! How many hours are spent beading each gown by hand, which have sister dresses, where the concept of each dress came from, the history of the label, how many beads are on each dress... you get the gist. We had the most fabulous afternoon with her and were hanging off her every word.
We were so proud to showcase some of the best wedding industry talents at the launch and were lucky enough to have the uber talented Lucy Stendall in attendance with her plethora of cameras and lenses to take all of these gorgeous snaps.
Mr & Mrs Fine Wine provided some super delicious fizz for the event whilst Ruth from The Southwell Cakery created the most artistic marble effect biscuits and macaroons. Unfortunately there were none left for me to gorge on at home... probably not a bad thing for the waist line with Christmas just around the corner...
Finally we teamed up with the team at The Wedding Box and put together a lovely little treat for our brides to take away.

I'm not going to lie that throwing an event like this is always a little nerve-wracking - Will we have enough glasses, will we run out of food or drink, will anybody even turn up?! But these are always pointless things for me to worry about and in the end and both Teresa and I had such a fabulous time with brides both new and returning to FDB - without running out of anything.
