This time of year always brings an element of reflection and one that I feel extra compelled to share in this moment. Gratitude has been a bit of ‘fashionable’ word of late and one that I want to pour all over this post.
Firstly: The FDB Team whom non of this would be possible without. I often get asked ‘how do you do it’ or ‘you have created the most amazing space’ when in truth, none of this would be possible without the amazing women I have around me: Emma, Jenny and Hannah.
Truly, I will never find the words to express my admiration for all that you do. The perfect bundle of joy, excitement, creativeness, organisation, care and sooo much talent whilst always being each others biggest cheerleaders - I am forever in your debt.
Secondly: Our extended team of designer partners. Covid and the years following where a true test. Knowing that we class you as our ‘ride-or-dies’ as much as you do us means everything. From the beginning, I have always made it clear that I am here to build long standing relationships with the best in bridal couture: as opposed to chasing the latest trend. I stand by this statement more than ever and continue to love nothing more than to see the couture evolve, learning from and with you as we go.
A special little mention to Stephanie Allin who having had an incredibly successful career of 35+ years (and with FDB from the start) decided to hang up her tape measure for last time this year. Take a bow Stephanie!
And Finally: You gals! Whether you follow us on instagram, have been for an appointment in our showroom or are a fully fledged member of the FDB Real Bride Tribe: THANK YOU!
We are told every day that we must have ‘The best job ever’ and in short, yes we do ;) However, this is only because we work with the best clients. You trust us when we are styling you, let us fly with your custom creations and often become friends by the time you leave our atelier. These relationships are never lost on any of us.
Relationships is probably a very poignant word that I’ve stumbled across as in essence, it is why Frances Day exists. It is why you come through our door, it is why we work with our designer partners and it is what we as a team thrive on.
So with that, I wish you and those dearest to you a wonderful Christmas & a happy and healthy New Year.
